Forgive the length of my first (!) post, it's been a long time in the making:After years and years of wandering through the hinterland of watch collecting, I have finally decided to jump into the deep end of the pool. I, like many here on this forum, have been through more watches than I care to count, yet few have held my interest for long. My biggest issue has been comfort -- I cannot wear a watch, no matter how iconic or desirable, that doesn't feel like it disappears on my wrist. I bought a SubC, sold it in a few months. I'e been through the big watch phase of Bell&Ross and Panerai, only to be disappointed. I found an AP 15300, but the bracelet, although beautiful, just didn't work for me and it, too, was sold. On a whim, I tried on a white 5711 at my local AD (more than I thought I'd ever actually spend, but we know how that goes¡) and was struck by the slinky bracelet and lightness of the watch, which fit like a glove. But I really wanted the blue. Thus began the infuri

Also, here is yet again a lesson that our ADs don't know CRAP about what the Big Guys are going to do!! For example- The Hulk is going to be discontinued, as well as the Smurf, oh and the BLNR probably too, oh and the price increase is coming as well because my AD knows the head of sales in N America and he said so. WE are ALL on the outside looking in, I get Rolex gets a bit of a chuckle listening to some of these predictions...... My collection is SAFE! for now...

The AP was lovely but running 2 minutes fast per day! I decided I wasn’t happy and wanted to cancel the deal and stick with my GMT Pepsi. I sent the AP back exactly as received. Today I get my GMT back and surprise surprise, they’d stolen a white gold link yet again. I went ballistic with them so they are posting the link out to me. He even sent an email stating it measured 19cm when they received it and 18.5cm when they sent it back (and this was only 0.5 less as they’d extended the easylink clasp to make it look bigger(.
