I received my Ball Moonphase last October as a birthday gift from my wife. She was intrigued with the tritium tube technology and was always showing me the ad's in the Watch Mags. I knew the old Ball, but not the new Ball. I began doing research on the company, trying to learn as much as I could. Together, we selected the Moonphase as the first of what became a four Ball Watch Household.Below is my review of my Ball MoonphaseCase/Bezel/Crown: The lightly brushed case is adorned with a highly polished bezel,. The 316L case features a screw in back, and lying below, the movement is further protected by an inner core of soft iron, shielding the movement from magnetic charges up to 4800 am/m.Like all Ball Watches, the phrase "accuracy under adverse conditions" applies, as this particular model also features shock resistance of up to 5000 g's. The fit and finish is near flawless. If I have to find one flaw, and it's a challenge, the section of the dial that is carved out for the moon
I've always loved the 39mm ROC. Last year I got a white dial 25860 as I wanted to wear this to my wedding. I'm in love with the bracelet, dial, and overall design. I've also been obsessed with the rose gold ROC with grey dial and had the fortune of getting one of these this past week. It's a bit ridiculous to have two of the same model watches, but I think they're different enough to both be in the collection.
