I am sorry I could not get the case open for pictures of the movement. I am selling it as is. The crystal is okay and the dial is aged. The watch is 37mm long and 31mm wide not including the crown.¡± said the seller.I didn¡¯t pay much attention to the details but I figured it was probably good for a hairspring so I bid. $14.50 later and I pulled it out of the packing and got the back off the case. I just got my Tissot Seastar back from being serviced and I noticed that when I hand wind it to charge, I can hear and feel a very slight click noise that almost sounds like the calendar wants to click over. Is this normal? I can barely hear and feel it, but I guess it was enough for me to notice.Should I bring it back to the shop?Thanks for the help.MacDaddy
Greetings! I have never ventured into the Patek world, but clearly appreciate those timepieces which are outside of my price range. Without going into the details, this family heirloom was passed on to me over the weekend. From my minimal research, it shows a serial number of 159057, which appears to be from the time between 1910 and 1915. The movement has the name Chas. N. Hancher; this is also on inscribed elsewhere as it says Made for Chas. N. Hancher Wheeling, WV. Records show that Chas is short for Charles, and that there was an incorporated jewelry store in Wheeling named Cas. N. Hancher from about 1900-1945.Does it work? I am not even sure when the last time this was running, so I am concerned about even testing the movements until I can get it to an expert. My hope is to have an expert service it and put into working operations again. Hello all,. I still unhappily haven't aquired a Daytona 16520 since the prices have jumped this year. To think I turned down two opportunities to buy nice ones for $10k last year is sort of nauseating. Anyway, stupidity aside I cant afford a $20k + Daytona that is unpolished with chamfered lugs and forget box an papers. It's silly to me, but I still want one. So, I found one in realistically used condition that was definitely polished as the top of the lugs aren't fully brushed, it has all it's links, the bezel and case are ok but once again it's polished , not today death but enough to have a serious collector or a lot of people I speak with say Oh, it's polished. It's under $17k and I can do a payment plan since it's above my budget. Once again I ask the question but I'm buying to own it and keep it. Will I sell it one day, maybe who knows, a year, 5 years never. I'm not sure. That being said, is is really dumb to hope it will be desirable from an investment standpoint later on since
