Hublot's creator, Carlo Crocco, grew up in an Italian family of watchmakers. He had designed his first watch by 1967. In 1980 he followed in his families footsteps and set up his own company, MDM Geneva. That same year he created the first Hublot watch, it featured a gold porthole shaped watch case and incorporated both polished and brushed metal on a black rubber bracelet. This was the first watch in the history of watchmaking to have a natural black rubber bracelet.
In 2004, Jean-Claude Biver - who has worked for (Audemars Piquet, Omega and Swatch Group) became of CEO and board member of Hublot. The next year Biver set up a new collection, the Hublot "Big Bang" chronograph, that was presented in Basel in April 2005.

Vergo Avius is a new watch brand and super Italian. While they have the concept of Swiss movements but design is all Italian.

Hello!I've registered to these forums specially to ask a question about Lord Elgin Panorama. I own same watch as in users Grumpyguyinc blog Lord Elgin Panorama | Grumpyguy Inc. for more then 4 years now, but few weeks ago i lost the front plastic "crystal". And without it this watch is just to be kept in a box. The information for this watch is really hard to find. I live in Lithuania and those repair shops that i visited couldn't help me. I really like this watch if i can't find a front for it i might consider 3d modelling it and 3d printing it, but still it won't be the same and i need more details to do it.
