Hublot's creator, Carlo Crocco, grew up in an Italian family of watchmakers. He had designed his first watch by 1967. In 1980 he followed in his families footsteps and set up his own company, MDM Geneva. That same year he created the first Hublot watch, it featured a gold porthole shaped watch case and incorporated both polished and brushed metal on a black rubber bracelet. This was the first watch in the history of watchmaking to have a natural black rubber bracelet.
In 2004, Jean-Claude Biver - who has worked for (Audemars Piquet, Omega and Swatch Group) became of CEO and board member of Hublot. The next year Biver set up a new collection, the Hublot "Big Bang" chronograph, that was presented in Basel in April 2005.
So today at work (BANK for Jim who does NOT read) LOL, it was quite a freakin' busy day.But 3 times, and this is the most I have, I DROOLED over a customer's watch!So, this was early into the day, this man, coming back from tennis, was wearing this: Then this other one is wearing my GRAIL!!! I was freaking out:eek:So they all looked at mine, and they all said it was a gorgeous watch as well when I complimented them, but come onThat Patek, and my grail, IWC, I could not believe it...Both of them were very normal ppl, no maybach outside with a driver and 3 body guardsJust normal folks with a taste for high end watches...Oh well, I guess I represented the Omega community

Hey everyone, Thinking out loud here, and trying to source some inputs from owners regarding daily wear and durability of your AP divers. Ive had this watch on my mind for years now and until recently have strayed from its grasp. I purchased a Rolex Seadweller 4000 around Thanksgiving and have been wearing it daily, scuba'ing with it, shoveling, driving, boating... the works. The watch has not a nick on it, and has been put through its paces with ease. I recently went to a local AP AD and was talking all sorts of references from many brands, and was instinctively drawn to the diver in person. Was essentially told without a doubt I can get close to what I paid back for my SD and into a LNIB AP diver with the enclosed case back (not sure what the latest serial designation this is) for a great price. A bit of cash would have to be added from my end, but I am able and willing to make the switch if this would make sense. My issues lie with accuracy, and durability of the movement. From what
