It as not until 1918 when a member of the family met Paul Mercier, a Geneva jeweller of high repute. In 1980 the Riviera sports watch par excellence made of gold and steel was first made. To test its durability and precision, the watch was mounted on the wheel of a BMW M1 before the start of the Le Mans 24 hour race.
