IWC recently announced a new version of their Portuguese Yacht Club Chronograph watch that came out about two years ago. The great looking piece is probably one of my top pics from the brand at this time and now is featured in an even more sporty skin. This version is done in collection with the Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012. Beyond that I guess a new watch will be made?The rear of the watch has "Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012" engraved on the back. IWC is the officially timekeeper for the boat race events. In the race IWC is also the official sponsor of the Abu Dhabi Ocean Racing Team. Interesting that they sponsor the event and one of the teams.The titanium case and carbon fiber dial look good together and feel fitting with the high-end racing boats. These performance machines operate thanks to very capable sailors and seconds count when needed to start the race. Hi guys, just got my first omega and gotta say it's a beautiful watch. I chose the Omega Seamaster Quartz 2221.80.00 because I am a bit of a bond fan and just thought they looked great. Anyway about the glow, does my model have tritium or that superluminova stuff? It does glow but only if I shine a light on it, then it glows nice and clear for about an hour before fading almost to darkness. Is this normal? I am not planning on diving with it or anything but if it's not doing what it should then I would like to know.Also I am always very paranoid about things being authentic, is there some specific marking or other way i can be sure my watch is genuine?What do you guys think?heres a pic btw, look real to you?Thanks Ronnie
Citizen Solar Diver on the leftSeiko Solar Diver Chronograph on the rightEqually charged with 900 lumen flashlightBoth have respectable lume. To my eyes in a dark rook, the Citizen is legible all night long. The Seiko is legible for several hours. I took a couple more photos, but they were both difficult for my Ipad camera to pick up!
