A Rolex wonderland...
Yesterday, I went on a Rolex tour (alone, self-sponsored, self directed:chuckle:). Hi everybody...This is the storyback in February 2012, I bought a Brand new Yacht Master 16622, from the Rolex dealer here in BoliviaI don't use the watch very often and it usually is stored in a dry and safe placeBut today I almost got an stroke, when I picked it up to wear it and I saw a very big stain in the face, like it had an oil leak (I don't know if this can happen but it looks like an oil stain) and it covers from 1 to 5, and is almost until the center of the faceUnfortunately, the watch is more tan two years old, so the warranty is no longer valid, so I guess I will have to send the watch for a deep cleaning or in the worst case a face changeThe service here is the worst in the world, so I think is better to send the watch to the U.S. or maybe Switzerland...The questions:1. My best guess is that this was probably a showroom model and has been sitting in a drawer for the last 60 odd years.It definitely hasn't been much, if at all. It came with the original box (no directions though), with the Harland name and price tags. The box is one of the nicer ones I've seen Elgin produce.The watch itself is beautiful and it still has the original suede (I have a new suede band on the way so as to preserve this one) Elgin band and buckle and the price/stock sticker was still on the back (I was able to remove it whole so I can actually wear this watch).It uses a 681, adjusted, 19 jewel movement. It has run strong all day. The case is 10K gold filled. About the only thing I had to do was lightly buff the tarnished case and the tarnished numerals on the dial. Oh, and the auction listed this as not working. I gently, and I mean gently, pushed on the gears and it roared to life. That might have been why no one bidded on it ! ;) And, yes, I noticed the sale sticker

Royal Oak 15450 problem?
Hello,Yesterday i received my 15450. I wound it and it starting to run. All good. I woke up this morning, time was accurate andi put it on. However, 2 hours later i noticed that it stopped. First i throught maybe its the power reserve although strange since i was wearing it for a couple of hours. So i wound it. Nothing happend. I wound it again, changed the date and time. Still nothing. Then i started to shake the watch so the rotor was making complete movements. This worked as the watch started to work again.Now, when i turn the watch and i can hear the a rather loud noise from the rotor. I do not know if this is normal since i didnt pay attention to it when i got it last night. Its like a loud winding noise. Can anyone please tell me if this noise is normal?
