In my opinion, I wouldn't worry about a few extra hundred bucks.Get the one you like the best.I recently bought a Sea-Dweller. If I had known about how easy (?) it was to put in a black bezel on the LV, the maxi-dial on that watch might very well have tipped the scales in that direction.However, at the time, the green bezel was the deal-breaker for me. (The green looks good, but I just preferred black.)So, of the choices you've listed, I'd get the LV with black bezel; just make sure you keep the green bezel in a safe place in case you want to sell the watch down the road.Actually, on a related matter - does anyone know how Rolex reacts to an LV that's sent in for service if the bezel has been changed to black? I know they can be rather picky about such things.In any case, you can't really go wrong with whatever you choose, as they are all great watches. I've had this watch since 1984ishLooking to fix the stem tube and get a match crown that screws in. It had an older quartz eta movement which I installed the replacement movement and this watch is out of retirement. I was reading Falcon's posts about his frustration with the most recent miscommunication with Invicta CS, (I'm not bashing the brand) and that gave me an idea for a thread. Maybe it's been done already, so if it has, apologies and ignore this.What's the worst thing you've had happen with regard to your favorite (or non-fav.,for that matter) watch or watches. It can be physical damage, theft, financial ripoff, anything you want. I don't have a big one, but I've written about it before. I dropped my beloved Seiko quartz sports watch that I owned for more than 20 years and went through three different straps, the repair people said it couldn't be fixed. (Maybe they were full of it, but I believed them and let them dispose of the watch for me).
I just received two Bergeon scratch brush pens (small and large). I bought them with the intent of touching up the brushed areas on my watches as well as restoring the case of my vintage Cosmic (it's overpolished on the top). I have a steady hand, I know how to make a brush do the work (I used to paint) and I will of course practice on some scrap. The question is, should I? Also, does anyone have any experience in using these types of brushes?
