Here's my 6138 - 0030 to start things off.I've had the body polished and crystal replaced. It works fine except for a creeping 12hour register, but it does reset to 12. Usually i reset it at 8 am or 8 pm so that I have both Malaysian time (gmt +8) and gmt time.It's on a non-stock solid metal bracelet which has been ground down to an 18mm lug size. I've got the original folded metal strap but its too short for my hand and feels a bit on the flimsy side
I wanted to get some feedback from other members:I own a Sub C that I wear daily, and it's my only nice watch. I have some extra cash and I'm looking at either adding a PAM, or selling/trading the sub for a AP Royal Oak (love this watch). Because I'm not really interested in starting a real collection, and I like the idea of having one really good piece that I can wear daily and for years and yearsˇ I'm considering the upgrade to the Royal Oak.I realize the AP is in a different horological category than the sub. I love the look and feel of the AP on my wrist (only at an AD so far however), and I could definitely see wearing a 15400 or 15300 daily for a long time. I can see it replacing the sub on my wrist.My question is about the feasibility of the AP as a daily wearer. In terms of robustness, water-resistance, fragility. I know it's not as bulletproof as a sub, but it looks and feels like I wouldn't have any problems wearing it the same way. I work at a desk, I don't dive, and I hardl
I was at the mall today with some time to kill and decided to stop by the local AD to try on a 233 (again), since I've been lusting for one ever since I sold my 422, after finally admitting that it wore too large for my liking and was being left at the watch box without getting much use.Well, they didn't have a 233 in the store, which was a bummer, but I got to try on a 533, which I didn't like as much as the 233. I missed the dome crystal and the thinner profile of the 233, although it was nice to have the 9 numeral on the dial of the 533.Then, when I was getting ready to leave, something caught my eye in the watch box, and I asked to try it on. It was a 425 (47mm Rad with SLC dial), and wow! I thought it was amazing!I had never given Radiomir models much thought, but this piece seemed much easier to wear than my 422. The absence of the crown protecting mecanism of the luminor cases, added to the slimmer profile of the hand wind caliber and the sleekness of the wire lugs made this 47m
