Audemars Piguet began in 1875 when Jules Audemars, then 23, and Edward-August Piguet, 21, met in the Valle de Jous looking for jobs in the local watchmaking industry. Hey EveryoneBeen active at Watchgeeks and Watchuseek for a while, but still relatively new to watches. I recently picked up first Hamilton and am very impressed. This is also my first 7750 and Rubber Strap, so it is a 3-in-1!The ShopNBC brands got me in to watches, but now I my tastes have evolved to Automatics, and there are only 1 or 2 Invicta and Renato watches I still like.My local watchmaker is actually one of the few Hamilton AD's in Portland and was jealous when I told him I got a Frogman Auto Chrono!I am trying to warm up to the rubber strab, I have always had Bracelet, never liked leather either. After wearing it for a day it's not to bad. It looks like I can buy the bracelet for it if I want also.Just wanted to introduce myself to forum here and show some quick pics I snapped. I realized I forgot to take the plastic off, but oh well :)Thanks, Bill

what kind of discount from an AD can be expected for the AP diver??Rolex is obviously tight on their SS model discounts and I have heard AP is pretty good at discounting...that said...why the big MSRP by AP if a big discount is the norm???why is a BIG 3 'haute horology' company offering big discounts?? does Patek? Vacheron??perhaps I am wrong....interested to hear what % off to be expected when purchasing the AD diver as it seems to be a pretty popular model that sells well...thanks in advance
