Some of you will be aware that last month I was told I may be losing my job and unfortunately last Friday that day arrived. The thought of being out of work scared me a lot. Long story short, I decided to step it up another notch today. I wanted another high quality watch to go with the Oris. It came down to a pre-owned Rolex datejust and a new Omega SMP 2255.80. After some deliberation, I thought the Omega was the watch for me. I called the local AD's, only one had the watch in stock, but was over an hour away. After placing the call last night, I was given the price of $1657 for the Omega. I figured that was fair enough, so I loaded up the family and drove there today to purchase the watch.I arrived at the jeweler to find out there were several Omegas there, but not the one I wanted. After about a 10 minute search, and massive confusion, it turned up. The rep I talked to put it behind the counter without my name on it, in hopes I'd show up.I tried it on, really liked it, and asked that they double check the price. The guy working (different from the rep I talked to the previous day) said it would be $1955. I told him that was a couple hundred buck
