A few questions about my Sea Dweller
Hey folks, I was hoping the experienced Rolex owners could give me some guidance on a few issues.1. The Rolex crown, when screwed in tight, faces diagonally downward and left. In every picture or magazine, it sits in its rightfully upward position but I cannot get it to do so. Not a big deal, just curious if I am making a simple mistake or if this is normal.2. I originally planned on getting a Submariner and putting it on a NATO strap. Will my Sea Dweller still fit/look ok with a NATO strap? I know it is slightly thicker, but I figure since it does not have the cyclops that it will still look ok. Also, is there an official dealer of NATO straps or do you normally just get them off ebay? Any direction on this is appreciated.3. Is it just me or is the clasp ridiculously easy to scratch? I've had it maybe a week and already I can see significant wear on it. Can this be fixed with a toothbrush and some soap or should I get used to the clasp looking like I handle porcupines for a living. I

Please, no Platinum plugging!I'm curious as to what you think about wearability, practicality, and just personal style.I know where I stand, and if I were smart enough to figure out how to post a poll on this thread, I certainly would. My personal choice would be for the White Gold version, all else equal. I like the understated elegance and low-profile of the WG version - only real Rolex people would know it is solid 18K gold. A rare one
Here is the Randolph I just got from Bryan (according to him only 700 were produced with this dial variation, slightly less than half of those produced in toto). It is a small watch (27mm) and wears smaller because of the relatively wide bezel and smallish dial (as compared to a Palisade or Lexington, both cases about the same size). But it is extremely stylish with those lugs. Also, thanks to Seth (BlueHawaii) for the nice calf strap. (apologizing in advance for the slightly blurry photos, shadows, and reflections)And next to a contemporaneous Boone, with which it shares some stylistic traits (at least the two-tone gilt dial does), for size comparison.

Wattham trench watch?
I had this watch for quite a few years, and have never been able to find out exactly what it is, or when it was made.Movement: 6/0 size, seven jewels, serial # 845624. Case: Wadsworth 6/0 14 karat wgf model # 6464 ?, # 0546464It looks a lot like the trench watches I've seen here, posted by literustyfan, but looking at hundreds of these watches, I've never seen another one of this style Wadsworth case. To me, what's really unusual about it, is you can see the round dial/movement edge in a square case without the bezel covering it!One thing I noticed in the photos, is how terrible the lume looks. In person, it looks fine! Apparently, the camera sees something I can't!The case, dial and crystal are in great shape, but it needs a crown and stem which looks like it was broken off. I'm not sure which type would be correct, but assume it would be similar to a pocket watch crown. I don't know if it runs.

Hey everyone,I used to think I was a watch guy with a few Victorinox watches and the stainless steel band on my Apple Watch. 6 months ago, $500 was an expensive watch.Then I was on a weekend getaway in San Fransisco and wandered into the Rolex shop on Market Street.
