Hublot's creator, Carlo Crocco, grew up in an Italian family of watchmakers. He had designed his first watch by 1967. In 1980 he followed in his families footsteps and set up his own company, MDM Geneva. That same year he created the first Hublot watch, it featured a gold porthole shaped watch case and incorporated both polished and brushed metal on a black rubber bracelet. This was the first watch in the history of watchmaking to have a natural black rubber bracelet.
In 2004, Jean-Claude Biver - who has worked for (Audemars Piquet, Omega and Swatch Group) became of CEO and board member of Hublot. The next year Biver set up a new collection, the Hublot "Big Bang" chronograph, that was presented in Basel in April 2005.

Well, I've gone ahead and started a massive, ambitious project that I cannot possibly accomplish on my own. I will need a great deal of help locating images to use in the photo thread. If you will allow your images to be transferred to that thread to build a complete as possible photo database of models, just post here. I can search all your past posts and transfer the images. If your photo account is public, I can transfer them directly from there. If you have better images than what is there or a dial variation that should be shown, I will add or substitute as necessary.Whatever you think is the best way to add your photos, that's what we'll do. Maybe we can even leave the thread open for anybody or certain members to edit, as in wikipedia?Please discuss.
Anyone have the new superocean 44 on steel bracelet? Want opinions on the watch cause I really like the 44 since I have a big wrist. Well made? Any input is appreciated. Thanks
I found this to be just an ok read. The author made it seem like its a rarity to see Rolex on the grey market, which we all know to not be true. And the author only touched on watches being sold at a discount. Classified today for a Hulk at 11K. It looks like this person deliberately did not bother in even doing a serious sales thread with many good pictures and posted only one pic. Miraculously sold the watch today !!!!!Working hard to deny the fact that these are becoming available more by the minute at AD¡äs for standard retail.
